Extended Thanksgiving

This morning I woke up to SNOW! It’s not cold enough here for it to really stick to the ground or anything but it was sticking to the vehicles and the roofs. After we celebrated a little about the snow we headed up to my Grandma’s house to hang out for Thanksgiving. We had a pleasant day, went out to lunch, cleaned out of some of the attic and put up Christmas decorations. While we were cleaning up part of the attic I found my great grandfather’s report cards ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade starting in 1894. They even had my great great grandfather’s signature saying he had reviewed them. It was kind of awesome and apparently we all come by goofing off in school quite honestly. 😉 We also found two pictures on tin which was kind of neat to see. I found this great album of my grandfather from WWII. There were also several great pictures of my mother and my aunt and uncles from when they were all little.

In the evening my Kentucky relatives drove up to visit. We had a lovely visit and got to look at the pro wedding pictures from my cousin’s wedding this summer. We were chatting so long that we lost track of time and the boy and I had to scoot out so we could get home at a decent hour. 🙂 I can’t wait to see most of them again at Christmas.
