The yarn for this scarf was purchased for the boy but on further consideration I realized that he doesn’t want knits. So who would be the next best recipient? Perhaps that lady that taught him to love all things Buckeye? Hopefully she enjoys it! (PS Don’t tell her, it’s a surprise!)
Description: Chevron Scarf in Buckeye Colorway
Pattern: Chevron Scarf by Joelle Hoverson
Yarn used: 85 grams of Claudia Hand Painted Yarns, Fingering – Colorway Buckeye (100% Merino Wool) 50g / 175 yds Machine Washable
Needle Size: Size 5 Denise Interchangeable Circulars
Modifications: I used 2 skeins of the same colorway (instead of 2 skeins of different colorways) and half the yarn called for in the pattern. I also altered the pattern to multiples of 3 to make it narrower and to conserve yarn. This was modeled after gibsongirl’s project on Ravelry.
Finished Size: 78″ x 5″ (after blocking) 63″ x 4″ (pre-block)
Date Started: 11/16/2007
Date Completed: 12/13/2007
Notes: I like this scarf and would make it again. I am interested in trying it with two different colorways to see how the colors play together. Some day! 🙂
