Monday night was our first North Side Knit night at the Panera on Miller Lane in Dayton. It was a quaint gathering of four: myself, the boy, a friend I am teaching to knit and a fellow Raveler, Lori. We all had a good time. The boy took a nap, my friend got good at casting on and by the end of the night she was making some nice knit stitches. Lori filled me in on the Ewetopia Friday night, Late Night Knit & Crochet sessions in Troy. I will definitely have to make it up there sometime soon! 🙂
In other knitting news, last night I finished the first of the Toe-Ups for a Surprise socks in Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Merino – Brights. I will cast on the second one tonight (or tomorrow) we shall see how the day goes.
I really liked the sewn bind off. It looks nice with the sock and makes it nice and stretchy. I have no fears that it will easily go over the ankle of the recipient. The colour pooled a little right around the ankle. You can kind of see it in the bottom third of the picture. I am not really sure why but eh, it happens 😐
