Every year for Christmas I get a big kick out of making gifts for my friends and family. This year I got a pretty early headstart by making some of my gifts while on vacation in Scotland. I’ve also started and set down a larger gift for my niece which I need to pick back up again soon. Probably Thanksgiving weekend, along with the 30 other projects I have on my mental checklist to get done that weekend. We’ll see how many of them actually get done. š
This weekend I ran off to one of my local yarn stores to buy yarn for some annual Christmas gifts for my extended family. You can see the progress I’ve made on the first one here.
I am hoping to knock out a few of the quick knits by the end of the month. Then it looks like December may be all quilting all the time. š Actually I need to start a to do list since my Christmas crafting list may be growing too quickly and I just remembered some other extended family gifts that are sitting on the cutting table waiting for me to work on them. haha.
Also over the weekend, I finally knocked out these legwarmers that have been in my head for far too long. š I spun up the yarn during TdF and modeled these after some legwarmers I found on Ravelry that I liked.
Full FO post coming once I can wrangle the boy to take some modeled pictures. I did take them on a test run to yoga on Sunday and they worked out splendidly. If I make another pair out of super bulky yarn I might take out about 8 sts around since there is a ton of room in there. š
What have you been working on?
