Today is Epiphany. In many Hispanic nations children will be receiving their Christmas presents from the Wise Men. Christians believe that on Epiphany the wise men brought baby Jesus presents. Now they bring presents to many children around the world. I rather like this idea since it would allow one to ignore the holiday rush and hit all of the after Christmas sales. 🙂 Another Christmas tradition I would like to start is the German tradition of the Advent calendar. I tried to start it a little this year but then I got distracted by something shiny.
In honour of Epiphany I bring you my Little Christmas aka my Christmas haul. Some of the big items were a fantastic kitchen aid mixer from the boy, a Garmin from my folks, a very nice cashmere sweater from Mr Ban and The Knitter’s Book of yarn from the boy’s parents. Click on the picture for more details.
Those shot glasses say Frogged on one and Ripped on the other. 🙂 They came from an unexpected sekrit pal. I was also able to turn my annual bonus into a very nice haul of yarn, knitting reference books and a ball winder. So this picture shows some of that. Most of the boy’s gifts were not available for photos because they are with his bike!
In the picture below the boy is modeling a couple of his new Christmas gifts. Thanks to The Lady Wyvern for helping me find these great chaps from Jamin Leather. The Formotion Stick On Clock is from Iron Pony in Westerville. They are my new favorite bike shop because they don’t care that I am a girl. 🙂 Boxers from Old Navy.
Merry Christmas everyone.
