Monday night I started on a jacket for my niece. I bought some lovely Claudia Hand Painted Fingering in Jill’s Pink from KnittyNutHouse when she was de-stashing. The original intent was to make a Baby Surprise Jacket however my niece will be one in April and I couldn’t figure out how to size up the sweater using fingering weight yarn. After much debate I settled upon the Jacket with Seed Stitch Bands by Debbie Bliss. The pattern can be found in her book Baby Knits for Beginners. I am really liking how the back is looking thus far. All 3 inches of it.
Dear UPS Man,
I hope your back is well. I apologize that you had to carry 70lbs of magazines and books up a flight of stairs to my doorstep. You were awesome to bring them into my home and not make me lift them. Just so you know, by delivering these items you not only made my day with the books but you will also be making numerous knitters and crocheters happy as they receive their magazines at Sticks N Stitches. Thanks again for all you do.
Love,
Me
PS - I hope you don’t mind that you will probably be delivering 25lbs of yarn tomorrow.
Door prizes and magazines from Interweave are in. I am expecting the shipment of yarn tomorrow. Are you getting excited for Sticks N Stitches? I know I am! 68 tickets sold…10 more to be ordered, if we can get another 10 on top of that we should be able to beat Colorado!
(No, I am not competitive at all, what makes you say that?)
It appears that the boy is wanted and desired. He landed a new job and will be starting in two weeks. (The day after Sticks n Stitches) We are now on a grand adventure to find our first home. If I am MIA or don’t post about the Masters, don’t be sad. The knitting will still vie for attention amongst the rest of the projects at hand. I am super excited and going a little nuts. Be forewarned that long tangents and stream of conscience posts are in store.
Last Friday night I went to the Late Night Knit Night at Ewetopia. Amazingly I won the door prize, again! You would think it was rigged.
Check out the beautiful handspun I won.

No Yarn Details.
So for all of you sitting on the fence about coming to Sticks N Stitches, I have a teaser.
One of the shops just e-mailed me to say that they are sending a $100 gift certificate for a door prize.
That is all.
PS - Please bring Warm Up America blocks.
