Motorcycle Neckwarmer

I have finished a project! Hooray! It’s a neckwarmer for the boy to wear while he rides his motorcycle. Basically to cover the exposed skin between the top of the jacket and the bottom of the helmet. I had intended to make it as a surprise but after one particularly chilly ride he came home and asked for one. I finally cast it on when the temperatures really began to drop out here. Hopefully it will live up to his expectations.

Needle Size: Size 5 Denise Interchangeable needles
Modifications: I made the neckwarmer to fit the boy’s neck and nose sizes. Knit for about 2 inches and had him try it on, then decreased it to make it more snug around the neck. Knit until it went to his chin then used the sewn bind off.
Finished Size: 17 inches will stretch to 22 inches

11/11/2007
Notes:
This hasn’t been road tested yet so I can recommend it for use on the motorcycle at this time. Once he gets new tires on the bike it will go out for a test ride and I will let you know how it turned out.
